A Warm Welcome~

If you are looking for a way to change the appearance of your entryway, a beautiful wreath can be one of the most appealing additions to add that "welcome warmth" to your home.  You can change them each season, to get that special front door welcome that has been an age old tradition for centuries.

A beautiful door wreath can add beauty to your home, and many times is a first impression for visitors that they are warmly welcomed.  Every Spring I add a new front door wreath to my home.  This Spring, after having made my Christmas wreath for my front door, I decided to make my own Spring wreath too.  This wreath is made on grapevine, however I doubled the grapevines to make a much fuller, bigger wreath.  Lots of spring color and a vibrant blue T finish my welcome wreath.  Take a look at my finished product!

I Love Spring!!!

I have always been creative when it comes to flower gardening.  The green thumb comes from my grandparents, who are no longer with us, but live on in my heart, nonetheless.  My "MawMaw" Pearl was the flower guru, and my "PawPaw" Herman ALWAYS had a garden that was so big and you could find almost any veggie you could name in it!

One of my herb planters~

Spending so much time with them as a youngster, I took for granted what has now come to be some of my most treasured memories.  My MawMaw had so many perennials planted everywhere, but she had this huge blue/purple hydrangea that was our favorite.  She would let us clip the blooms off and put them in a glass of water to take home.   She also had a couple of Camellia shrubs that were on each side of the front porch.  I can still see them today in my mind...she loved them, and as a little girl, so did I!

Reminder of my MawMaw~

On Sunday, April Fool's Day, my MawMaw would have been 88 years old.  I can be out flower shopping, and wonder, what she would buy.  I can be planting a flower garden, and I will wonder, what would SHE put together?  She has been gone for over 5 years...but she is still very much alive in my heart and in my mind...she used to tell me, "You are my oldest grandchild, and I love all of you the same, but there is something about the 1st one that makes you a little different."  I don't know that kind of love yet...but I hope to experience it someday with grandchildren of my own.

To one of the most important women ever in my life...Lillie Pearl Coggins...Happy Birthday in Heaven, I know the angels are laughing with you, nobody can be around you and NOT laugh!  I miss you and I love you to Heaven!  I'll see you again someday!

Great Cupcake Idea For Easter~

One of my favorite websites right now is Skinnytaste.com!!!  I love all the great recipes, and this is one I am going to try for Easter this year so that I don't have to do without the sweet treats that everybody else is having!!!

Just get a white cake mix, and substitute the oil with light coconut milk and apple sauce.  The frosting is sweetened coconut flakes with light cream cheese.  It doesn't get any simpler than that!  And to make them Easter cupcakes, add mini Cadbury eggs!  So adorable!

My Studio Space~

I am still in the process of finishing my home studio space, where I design and make my jewelry.  Here are pictures, my paint scheme and my theme centered around a piece of art my daughter painted.  Jewelry is an accessory that is meant to express beauty and personality, and I think my studio shows that too!  I wouldn't recommend that new paint with primer however...I still ended up having to use primer before the "paint with primer"...so it wasn't worth the extra cost.  More pictures coming as I finish this room.  I love it!

New Product Find That I LOVE!!!

I have never really been a coffee drinker, the weather has to be REALLY cold before I will brew a cup, but in the Spring and Summer months I LOVE to visit the local "coffeehouse" for iced coffee.  You know the one...

I LOVE iced coffee, but I have never been able to find a brand in the local supermarket that even compared to again, you know the one...until now.  International Delight has created my new favorite obsession!  And if you count calories and weight watcher points, this drink is a plus in that area too!  I had to give up my iced coffees a few months ago when I began really keeping up with calories, and counting points through the Weight Watchers program.  I am HAPPY to report you can have this drink and still stay on track with your diet program!  Drink up and enjoy!

XOXO,

Tina~

Keepsake Bracelets~

Some of my favorite jewelry pieces that I create are my keepsake bracelets.  These can be anything from milestone birthdays...16, 21, 30, 40...to new mommies with baby names and birth months, and mother/grandmother bracelets.

Depending on the woman, these can be many things.  I have recently done guardian angel bracelets with focal beads that represent  deceased loved ones.  There is just something very comforting about these bracelets!  It's like you have a little reminder of your loved one, right around your wrist.

These arm charms are, of course, done by special request.  Email me on Etsy, the link is here, on my blog, with your ideas and let me create something special for you!

Tina~
